Saturday morning, the Indianapolis Colts weren't even favored to win their divisional playoff game against the Baltimore Ravens. Come Sunday night, bettors at Tradesports have made the Colts favorites to win Super Bowl XLI.
And for the second time this year, I am happy to see that the Patriots have made the final four; this time, however, I hope they lose.
UPDATE: I note that an ESPN web poll is giving the edge to the Patriots, with the Colts second. It just goes to show that the size of the fanbase does not determine prices!
As much as I would also like to see the Colts win, the Patriots have that
annoying 12-1 record in the playoffs with Tom Brady. I think that's what
the web voters are looking at.
If it tells you anything, I didn't call my father after the Colts won; I
called him after the Pats won. As everyone's saying, though, this is the
way it should be.
I found it interesting that both home teams lost in the AFC, yet both home
teams won in the NFC.
