Da Coach roots for da...Colts?
The Chicago Tribune's Ed Sherman writes about sports, and today he reports:
Many Bears' fans were in an uproar over Ditka's comments that he doesn't have a rooting interest in the NFC championship game Sunday between the Bears and New Orleans Saints at Soldier Field.

Ditka, though, did pick a winner in the AFC title game, going with Indianapolis over New England. He has made no secret of his dislike for Patriots coach Bill Belichick.
UPDATE: "Mike Ditka now says he is pulling for the Bears and predicts they'll beat the New Orleans Saints in the NFC championship game Sunday." And now, back to the war.
it's possible that ditka was backpedaling for PR reasons (million-dollar
steakhouse what?). but the journalist who elicited quote #1 from him was
on tv last night, who said that he had the misfortune to inadvertently call
ditka in the middle of a card game to get the interview. so it's possible
that he just pissed off and being dismissive because he wanted to get back
to his poker game, rather than giving an actual (non) opinion on the bears.
