During the WGN telecast of tonight's Pacers-Bulls game, two different commercials aired on behalf of NBA Cares. The commercials showed several current NBA players performing some charitable work, each appearing with their name and current team superimposed over the footage. The two commercials also included footage of three former NBA players: Jerome Williams, Jimmy Jackson, and Daniel Santiago. Where the name of the team had appeared for the current players, each of these former players enjoyed the on-screen label of "NBA Legend".
Perhaps this was the true evidence that the NBA cares, as I don't know how many people would be charitable enough even to give you Jimmy Jackson as a "legend".
