After this morning's paean from New York Times globetrotter Nicholas Kristof, The Myth of the Rational Voter by GMU econ prof/P-Shock fave blogger/lousy web designer (let the Googlebombing begin) Bryan Caplan has soared to #60 on the book sales chart at Amazon, a ranking that I know (on the basis of some private information!) he is watching with great interest. Now my question is: will book key phrase "pessimistic bias" turn pop political catchphrase?
that is seriously his website? why do i suddenly have an urge to listen to
stone temple pilots and watch "clueless"?
At a recent Cato Book
Forum, Scott Keeter's main complaint with Caplan was the background on
his website. But he loved the book.
That Mr. Caplan can only see public "irrationality" in terms of its failure
to appreciate the virtues of unfettered, maximalist free markets says a lot
more about him than it does about the public.
